Our Time

Photos with a perfectly black background are just so satisfying. The Friday night lights illuminate her perfectly against the dark sky behind her. Often Marching Band photos are challenging because it is hard to find someone, who isn't in the front, without someone in front of them. This is why it's important to scope out an event. I had been to probably 4 performances before getting this shot, and it helped me learn where people would be and where the best photo opportunities would be.
